Summary: Stephen F. Austin to answer charge of trespass and damage.


Know all men by these presents that we, Stephen F. Austin as principle and Robert C. Bruffey as Security are held and firmly bound unto Daniel Dunklin Sheriff of Washington County in the penal Sum of two hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States.

Conditioned That if the above bound Stephen F. Austin shall be and appear before the Judge of our Circuit Court at a Court to be held at the Court House in the Town of Potosi in and for Said County on the third Monday of July next then and there to answer Robert Collet of a plea of Trespass on the Case and to his Damage Two hundred and fifty Dollars, and if Judgment be rendered against him at that or any Subsequent Term that he will pay the Debt Damages and Costs or Surrender himself in Execution or that the Said Robert C. Bruffey will do it for him then and in that Case this Bond to be Null and Void Otherwise to remain in full force and effect at Law.
