Dear Sir I take the liberty of recommending Mr J Alexander to you as a useful man; I have been acquainted with him for some years past, and belive him to be an honest gentleman: as a teacher he had charge of an academy in Georgia in which capacity he discharged his duty much to the satisfaction of his employes etc—any friendship exhibited to Sd Alexander will be thankfully acknowledged by your Hunble Sevt and respective friend
