Respected Sir, Tho I am only acquainted with you by reputation I take the liberty of addressing you a few lines desiring you to be so good as to write me concerning the situation of the colony you are forming on the Brazos I passed thro' that country about thre years ago with Gen. Bernardo's family and think it a fine country of land. I wish you to inform me of the conditions imposed upon the settlers Write to Pablo Willis J. Powell Naturalista in Mexico.
