I have paid the $100 to Col Hammond and my Father wrote me
that Pettit wanted Some shot I have 1000 on hand made out of Lead
sent in by my Father which I will let him have on your account as
soon as I go out, John W Honey when he returned from St Louis
brought down my note from Mjr Wilson which I took up and expect
to pay you for it in the manner above stated, that is 100$ to Col
Hammond and the Balance to Pettit in Shot I expect Wilson will
take your Whiskey, had Elias sent it up Col Hammond could have
sold it all for 75 cts.
The Col only returned this day from St Louis and therefore do not yet know what arrangements are made as to the Orleans trip I am going out there to-night and will write you Soon what is to be done in very great haste
