Office of the Recorder of Land titles St Louis August 28. 1818 I certify that a tract of two hundred and forty arpens of Land, bayou St Thomas, in the county of New Madrid which appears from the Books of that Office to be owned by Francis B Covoner under Jesse Thompson has been materially injured by Earthquakes and that in conformity to the provisions of the Act of Congress of 17 Feby 1815 the said Francis Covoner or his legal representatives is entitled to locate two hundred and forty arpens of Land on any of the public Lands of the territory of Missouri, the sale of which is authorized by Law
