Dr. Sir

I have applied to the Governor for a grant for my Brothers eldest son and requested him to hand you the papers please use your influence in geting it completed the settlers are perfectly satisfied and determined to stick many of them have butter cheese and milk and fat cattle in abundance and fine prospects for good crops on Both rivers I intended writing you a long letter but refer you to your Brother he can tell you maiby what has been saved out of the general reck the inhabitants wish to see you very much
