Dr Sir,

I have not complied with the certificate which you gave me when in Natchitoches last, to settle on your grant of land am in hopes it will make no great difference if I should come on in two or three months from this date, by Mr McWilliams I send you a file of news papers which I have procured on purpose for your perusal, of the latest elates, we have no news more than you will find in those papers, I am
