Public Notice

It hereby given to all persons whatever whether in this Province or in the United States or elsewhere whom I have either verbally or otherwise promised to receive as Settlers in the Colony formed by me on the Brazos and Colorado Rivers in the Province of Texas And as such to Secure them lands—that unless they come forward and apply for said lands on or before the 1st day of Novr. next I shall consider myself for ever exonerated from all such promises And shall not reserve Land for them longer than up to that period
