Brassos Dictrict 29th Nov. 1824
Dear Sir
agreable to your instructions to Mr Simms I have Selected a Tract
of land for the Children of my Decd Brother lying on the East
side of the Brassos adjoining what is Called Negro Moore between
his tract and Mr Groce's Boatwright place, My brother Jonathan's
two sons that Came out last spring applied to Col Coles last
Summer for a peace of Vacant land that lies between the Millicans
Tracts and the River and my land, it is a Very odd shape, some
very good land it is only a Fraction between those lines but by
Runing a league it has to Run back into the Postoak woods
beyond all the Millican Tracts, Mr Simms says that no Survey Can
be made for less than a league the Boys has paid Mr Sims for
Surveying it, but they do not wish to pay for only 2 quarter
leagues, and they want to known of you if it Cannot be divided
in a way to have it in a better shape you will please to write me
a few lines on the Subject when you are at leasure
