Dr Sir, I received yours of the 27th Ult. yesterday. Nothing
worthy of note has transpired here since my last. On my return
from St. Felipe I found some excitement, and some imprudent
measures were taking, which, in all probability would have lead to
serious difficulties; but everything is now quiet and tranquil, and
nothing is to be feared from the imprudence of the people in this
quarter, without some new exciting cause.
I do not answer your letter in full, as, fifteen days hence, I will
see you in St. Felipe. I wish to advise further with you respecting
the business in this part of the country.
