Your orders by Mr Wm H. Smith has been executed and he will Give You the particulars we have a large long 18 Pounder which will be started out in a few days, a 12 pounder is here on the way let me beg you will not fail as Early as possible To authorize Vessels to Cruise on the Coast This done Every port on the Gulf Can be Blockaded in six weeks and Then all could safely leave to Join the army by land Yours in Much haste
