Mr. Hammeken wrote to me to buy him a horse— I have bought a mare
that will suit him, for one hundred dollars— I expect him dayly—keep
her untill he comes— I shall be down I expect
I think I will go to Brazoria a while to arrange land business— I can get no house here—
send me one hundred dollars to pay for the mare
Also send me two hundred dollars more making three hundred—
